Carolina Honduras Health Foundation
CHHF provides free medical, dental, and opthalmic care in a remote area of the Limón region where we operate two clinics. We also offer health education regarding disease prevention, sanitation, and nutrition. We accept volunteers with medical skills and unskilled workers.

Central American Relief Efforts (Honduras) (Not necessarily Christian)
Tending to the needs of the underserved, we use internists, specialists, dentists, ophthalmologists, optometrists, chiropractors, nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, nurses, pharmacists, students, and support people such as translators, drivers, school teachers, office workers, carpenters, retired executives, housewives, and even teenagers.

Centro Evangélico de Medicina do Lubango (CEML) (Angola, Africa)
Evangelical Medical Centre of Lubango is a church-related health care institution and 40-bed hospital seeking to provide medical services for an estimated 50% of Angolans who currently have no alternative coverage. Pre-med and medical students, those in residency programmes, nurses, midwives, and others, are welcomed.

The Chiapas Project
One week medical and dental trips serve the Zoque people of Chiapas, Mexico. Medical and dental students, high school and older kids and other non-medical people welcomed.

Child Family Health International (Not necessarily Christian)
20+ global health immersion programs available in Bolivia, India, Mexico, Ecuador and South Africa for 4-12 weeks. Participants include individuals over the age of 20 that are premed, students of medicine, nursing and public health, as well as non-students.

Christian Hands in Action -- CHIA
Based in El Paso, Texas, we carry the Gospel to people in the U.S. and abroad (primarily Mexico), using medical, dental, and optometric clinics. Christian Medical and Dental Society's Global Health Outreach Program
Short term medical and dental outreaches to a variety of nations. Pre-med, other health care majors, and those without medical training can be useful in support roles. Some scholarships may be available.

Affordable or free medical, dental, and optometry pediatric and adult care to people of Moca and surrounding areas of the Dominican Republic. Also, trips to India, Haiti, and Ecuador. Christian Medical Missions, Inc. (CMMI)
Established in 1990, CMMI sends medical teams five times a year for one week to remote Indian villages in Panama, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Mexico. We use medical, dental, optometric, and lay volunteers. Spanish is understood by the younger generations in these areas.

ChristianVision Eye Services to Haiti
Students and doctors can enjoy short trips and utilize the fully equipped eye clinic not far from Port-au-Prince. You can help patients who often travel great distances to obtain eye care they otherwise would not be able to find or afford.

Church Growth Ministries of Samoa (Pacific Islands)
Medical and spiritual help to the people of the Islands. We work through local churches to provide medical care and medicine for the sick. We also share the Love of Jesus Christ through prayer and the message of salvation. Trips are mid-summer. Med-students and pre-med students welcomed!

Costner Medical Missions
We take groups to the Amazon Jungle region of Ecuador 3 or 4 times per year for one week long medical and dental mission trips. Occasional trips to the Galapagos Islands. Trips are open to med students and non-medical volunteers. There is also some sight-seeing in the highlands of Ecuador. 18 years and older.

Cross Road Medical Center
Southern Alaska. For more than 50 years, the only MD level provider of health care for an area that is roughly the size of Ohio. A very limited number of 3rd or 4th year med students can be accepted. Can be combined with family vacation.

Cry Cameroon Ministries
We're deeply concerned with the poor health conditions of the people of Cameroon, West Africa. We support five primary health care centers in Cameroon, which desperately need drugs, doctors, trained nurses, lab technicians and basic equipment. Medical and nursing students should inquire too. EMAS Canada
A Christian, charitable, NGO based in Canada and in Hong Kong, that sends out missions teams and partners with organizations overseas in healthcare initiatives. You will need Healthcare related skills or be a student in a healthcare major. EMAS provides bursaries for all healthcare students who are able to arrange an elective overseas or who join an EMAS Team.

Emmanuel Hospital Association
UK based organization offers openings for medical personnel, including medical and dental students, in India. Hospitals, Community Health programs, etc. Includes dental surgery, eye care, physiotherapists. Medical, dental, and elective programs. Free staff accommodations for international volunteers.

Engineering World Health (Not necessarily Christian)
Overseas summer programs for American undergrad and graduate students to teach usage, repair instruments and help with other aspects of biomedical engineering. (Academic credit and financial assistance may be arranged.) Intensive one month training program at The University of Costa Rica in San Jose. Other short term trips enable biomedical professionals and technicians to go overseas.

ESAF Hospital and Research Centre (Evangelical Medical Aid Society)
We are a 42 years old, 100-bedded mission hospital serving a majority population of Muslims and Hindus in the Palakkad district of Kerala, India. EyeCare WeCare Foundation, Inc.
Permanent and mobile vision clinics in the Philippines serve the rural indigent population. We provide free eye exams and used eyeglasses, eye medication, and eye surgeries to the rural poor. Glory Unlimited Evangelistic Ministries, Thomas Jefferson University Department of Family Medicine
We offer week-long medical and spiritual mission trips to Montego Bay, Jamaica every four months. A dedicated medical team provides care to the most underserved patients through established clinics. Time is also spent rounding at a local hospital for a day. Students can receive elective credit for this mission.

God's Chosen Ones Ministry
An evangelical orphanage in Haiti seeks medical professionals and health care students, to join short term trips to this, the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, during the Christmas holidays. Non-medical participants are welcome and needed and will be used according to their gifts and abilities. We will be serving with Ludalia Simeon at Ganthier.

Whole Person Care Preceptorship: A four week Health Student Summer Mission Project in Southern California will teach you to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of your patients. Begin by participating in a Medical Evangelism Training & Strategies Conference (METS). Experienced Christian physicians and nurses will train you to care for the whole person - body, mind, and soul - in an ethical, caring, sensitive, and non-coercive manner.

Medical Student Missions
We run mobile community clinics under the Haitian department of health in and around the town of Verrettes, in the Artibonite department. We are treating infectious disease and chronic illness. Cholera, malaria, parasitic and other infectious diseases are common. Medical students, doctors, nurses, eager helping hands, welcomed to apply. Not necessarily Christian.

Medics to Africa
We organize 2 to 6 week medical placements programs for medical and pre-med students and volunteer qualified physicians, to rural Kenya about 50km from the famous Masai Mara National reserve. Students rotate in clinical medicine, obstetrics & gynecology, pediatrics, emergency medicine and critical care, general and orthopedic surgery, E.N.T, ophthalmology and radiology. Safaris available. M.E.D.I.C.O.
MEDICO provides free medical, dental, optometric care and educational services to people in Honduras. Trips are about one week. All health care skills needed. Medical, dental, nursing students welcomed to apply.

Mercy and Truth Medical Missions
Medical treatment is the "heart" of our international mission trips, but anyone (including med students) is invited to inquire as we need support staff. We also have medical service buildings in Kansas City, Kansas and Missouri. We are continually seeking support, assistance and team members. Mercy Trips Healthcare Outreach
Two week trips providing surgical care and medical outreach clinics in eastern Uganda working with a rural hospital and local churches. Trips are in January or February. For physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and non-medical personnel with a service-minded attitudes.

Mercy Works (Africa)
Share the message of Jesus in clinics, relief shelters, feeding centers, hospitals, and churches in very under served areas, such as The Gambia, Nigeria, and Mali. Med students, nurses, EMT's, pharmacists, physical therapists, lay people, evangelists, and pastors. 

Mexican Medical Ministries
Each year we have a number of short-term ministry opportunities for students, designed to provide practical experience for medical and nursing students who have completed at least one year of training. An on-site, four-week programme to learn about the Pathological process of Leprosy (Hansen's disease): Recognition of the early stages; Medical treatment; Management of impairment and disability; and Social aspects. Observe and learn in our lab, outpatient, surgical theater, physiotherapy areas.

Palmas de Mamre  Missionary Training School, Costa Rica
Partnering with Emercy, Las Palmas de Mamré operates a mission to reach the pueblos along the rivers bordering Costa Rica and Nicaragua. For ten weeks twice a year, students ages 15-80 from the Western Hemisphere come here to study missions, both in classes and in hands-on ministry, indigenous farm work, obstacle courses, medical clinics, and more. Palmetto Medical Initiative
PMI is committed to provide quality, sustainable care to the people of Masindi, Uganda, Africa. PID offers short term mission trips (generally eight days) to Haiti & Guatemala. Anyone with medical and dental skills, and students in health care programs, can work in our medical clinic. Or, come help us build a home for a family in need, or run a children's program. We serve over 4,000 people each year.

Peacework Medical Projects
We need Clinical Medical Students, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Physician Assistants, Physicians, Paramedics - in fact, anyone with skills in Dentistry, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or other medical specialties willing to volunteer in a primary medical setting to serve the poor in Guyana and Honduras.

Physicians For Peace  (Not necessarily Christian)
Staying from one to six weeks, our teams of medical volunteers (physicians, nurses, physical therapists, physician assistants, etc.) go worldwide where their teaching and healing skills are needed most.

Pro-Health International
A Christian, non-profit health care organization focused on uplifting the health status of the less privileged, neglected rural populace in West Africa. Internists, General Surgeons, OB-GYN, Pediatricians, Dentists, Nurses, Surgical Technologists, Pharmacists, Optometrists, Ophthalmologists, Pastors, Medical and Dental Students.

Project Compassion
We partner with missionaries, local churches, and health officials, to conduct short term evangelical medical clinics throughout the world. Several churches have been planted as a direct result of these outreaches. We serve in countries such as Mexico, Guatemala, Cambodia, Malawi, Africa. Medical skills or not, you can participate.

Project Salud y Paz (health and peace)
Two clinics serve the poor Mayan population in Guatemala. Students can shadow the resident physician, and may also wish to pursue a rotation with the dentist, possibly extracting a few teeth and learning aspects of oral anesthesia. There are ample opportunities to initiate research projects in these clinics as well. Accredited rotations for medical and dental students.
