We often get inquiries about work with Native Americans.  On this page we have listed an assortment of organizations that have various kinds of ministry with this people group.  We suggest, however, that you first contact your own church leadership or denomination and work with any efforts they may have underway. If you can't find what suits you, then contact any of the organizations listed here, explaining what you would like to do. The details for the ministries change from time to time.

1 Way Ministries
1 Way is committed to taking the first steps to reaching the world by ministering to impoverished, forgotten, and desperate people groups. Week long mission trips year round for Jr. High through Adults are offered to the Tohono O'Odham Reservation in southern Arizona. Trips cost $325 per person and include a full week of ministry and mission.

Adventures in Missions
AIM sometimes conducts ministry trips to a Navajo reservation in Arizona for Senior High and College age individuals, and to several other Native American locations (including North Dakota, South Dakota, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and New Mexico) for Senior High youth groups.

Agape Church
Ministering to the Rosebud Rez. and the Pine Ridge Rez. Our Vision is to show American Indians (1) You can be an Indian and be a Christian, and (2) that God has a special plan for American Indians. Details of this vision our in Pastor Mel Bond's book: God's Last Days People.

Agape Lane Ministry
We work with many Native American tribes including the Kiowa, Apache, and Comanche Indians, mostly in Oklahoma. We partner with committed Christians in Native American communities to evangelize, and disciple the people to a saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. We host ministry teams from many individual churches and organizations.

AIM for Christ, American Indian Missions for Christ
We're dedicated to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to American Indian Reservations. Our hope is to raise up and train disciples to evangelize surrounding reservations. You must have a willing heart to serve, be born again and lead by the Holy Spirit, and be from Junior Hi to Adult age. Non-denominational.

American Indian Bible Institute
Good resources for ministry and church planting in American Indian culture. Some material is in Spanish.

American Indian Christian Mission
Located in Show Low, Arizona, AICM manages a boarding school, and is responsible for the Apache Christian Connection (ACC) on the White Mountain Apache Reservation.

Ameritribes
Church planting among tribal people in Northern Mexico and the western USA. Pre-evangelism includes relief and community development projects. We are looking for individuals or families interested in long-term service. We work with the Shoshone, Navajo, Tarahumara, and Durango Nahuat (Mexicanero - Aztec group).

Apache Youth Ministries
Located in Whiteriver Arizona, AYM is a non-denominational youth organization that works with the youth and communities on the White Mountain Apache reservation.

Arctic Outreach
We place workers in communities in Northwestern Canada and Siberia for evangelism and Christian-in-Service ministries. We also conduct VBS camps. We need SS and VBS teachers, school teachers, tutors, mechanics, pilots, and providers of elderly services, who can live in isolation without convieniences.

Native Americans have a great part to play in this end time move of God. We want to help them achieve that destiny, and work to bring them the gospel of salvation and to equip them to live victoriously and successfully with Biblical principles, and to bring the glory of God into the rezs. Careforce International - First Nations Initiatives
First Nations Initiatives is "dedicated to Nation Builders". We send summer teams (paid positions for University/college age students) to Northwestern Ontario Reserves where we do recreation programs. We are committed to help the First Nations youth in Canada by providing opportunity for them to excel at life.

Celebrate Recovery Native Ministries
We seek to help a people group in need of recovery from life's hurts. Our Pastor, raised on a Native reservation, knows first hand the pain from addiction to alcohol and drugs. The only real help comes from freedom in Christ, the message we bring to all people! Come help us: you can use almost any skill and experience you have. Affiliated with Evangelical free Church of Crystal Lake, Illinois.

Christ for Native Youth
Our goal is to establish relevant dynamic youth ministry through evangelism and discipleship in indigenous communities in the USA, Mexico, and Canada. We invite volunteers with skills in English, Spanish, Trans-cultural teaching abilities, and mentoring youth going into missions.

CHIEF Christian Hope Indian Eskimo Fellowship
For 30 years, CHIEF has provided discipleship training, evangelism outreach, and a practical helps ministry for about 300 tribes in the Americas.

Christian Discipleship Center
A Bible-based residential Christian recovery program for Native men who want to overcome addictions. Need short and long term volunteers: building and maintenance skills, Bible teacher and/or counselor, office and computer skills, trade/technical instructor, dorm supervisors, food services. Individuals, families, retirees and groups welcomed. 10 acre complex in Cortez, Colorado. Limited housing and RV hookups on campus.

Dave & Ella McMullen
Based in Bisbee, Arizona, this ministry works with individuals and church groups to conduct effective outreaches toward the many unreached Indian groups of Mexico. Work in Mexico, or among those people groups living in the United States. Email david@HisFeet.net

Desert Wind Outreach by Duane Bristow Ministries
Ministry to Native Americans in New Mexico and Arizona, primarily Navajo tribes. Short term trips for groups and individuals.

Diamond Willow Ministries
A Christ centered relief organization serving the Crow Creek and Lower Brule Sioux Reservations in South Dakota. We seek to empower and develop healthy Christian youth, families, and leaders by meeting current spiritual, emotional, and physical needs. All types of skills needed from construction to just spending time with youth. 18 and up, and families.

Eagle Nest Ministries
Eagle Nest Ministries is an independant, non-denomational Christian outreach located in Keller, Washington, ministering on the Colville Indian Reservation and the surrounding areas.

Eagles Wings Ministry
We present the Great Spirit's Son, Jesus Christ and His word, the Bible, to Native Americans in culturally relevant ways and present a Biblical model of contextual theology to Native Americans. We seek to reconcile and foster healing among native and non-native peoples. Based in Wilmore, Kentucky.

Experience Mission
Our committment is to the teams that "go" and to the ongoing work inside our partner communities. Trips to the Navajo Nation in the USA, and to Jamaica, Ruiz Mexico, Tecata Mexico. First Nations Ministry
We take food, clothing, Bibles, and the Gospel to Native Americans living on reservations in western and midwest United States. Interdenominational. Based in Portland, Oregon.

Flame of Fire Ministries
A non-denominational Navajo ministry on the Navajo Nation, Multicultural-Navajo and English languages, committed to the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Native Americans and the equipping of the saints for works of service.

Grizzly Smith Ministries
Come help us learn and share the ways of nature in the utilization of Alternative Technology among the Lakotas and other Native American peoples. You will need a desire to work with and enable the land to produce shelter, food, energy and transportation. For teens through "ancients".

Group Workcamps Foundation
Our work, serving people in need, is ideal for youth groups (ages 12 and up). Since 1977, we've focused on taking care of the details for you, so you can focus on the spiritual growth that occurs during these powerful one-week camps. Dozens of locations all over the USA, including some Native American areas.

Harvesting Harvesters
Outreach to the poorest migrant workers - Native Americans along the Mexico / USA border, into Nogales, Magdalena, Hermosillo, as far as Oaxaca, etc. Based in Bisbee, Arizona.

Indian Elders Food Project (IEFP)
This project's purpose is two-fold; it will provide food for the holidays to Indian Elders in North Central Oklahoma, and promote a better understanding between the Indian and non-Indian communities in Ponca City, Oklahoma.

Healing for the Natives Ministries
A unique ministry of spiritual warfare through anointed Native American cultural expressions of worship: a blending of Native and contemporary Christian that sets the captives free. We invite musicians (guitar, bass, drums, Indian drum and singers), and dancers to join us in ministry. Four Square Affiliation

In Motion Ministries
Short term mission adventures for individuals, families and groups; ranging from one week to three months. Anyone over the age of 14 can apply. Destinations such as Northern Cheyenne Indian Nation in Montana, China, Viet Nam, Ireland, Costa Rica, Alaska, and more.

InterAct Ministries
We work to plant churches along the North Pacific Crescent. Short term trips: Canada Native Ministry, Alaska Native Ministry, Alaska Bush Camp Team, East Indian Ministry, Summer In Siberia (SIS). You can help in many ways, from construction to evangelism to discipleship.

Inuit Ministry International

Kingdom Flight
We work to meet the physical, educational, and spiritual needs of children in remote areas of Mexico through our ministry centers for abused and neglected children. We're seeking a bilingual person to oversee our Una Esperanza ministry center in a Tarahumara Indian community 15 miles south of Juarez, Mexico.

Lakota Journey
We connect church groups with Native pastors and ministry leaders on the Rosebud and Pine Ridge Reservations in South Dakota. Groups do a variety of ministry-related work while building life-giving relationships. Check our site about our summer experiences. Non-denominational.

Native American Outreach Ministries  (NAOMI)
Home for abused and/or neglected children, in Arizona. Food pantry, clothes closet, medicine and medical supplies to needy families, counseling and crisis intervention. Summer internships, church groups for special projects. Interns should be 21 years old.

Native Christian Way
We are opening a Native American church in Albuquerque, NM, that we believe will be the largest congregation of Native American believers. We need workers in every type of ministry (children's, youth, men's, women's, music, worship, ushers/greeters, teachers, etc.). We also need donation of land/bldg.

Native Evangelical Fellowship of Canada
A fellowship of native churches with an indigenous organizational structure, reaching out to the man reservations and Native American communities throughout Canada.

Native Harvest
"From the Rez to the Rezt of the World". We work in the area of Flagstaff Arizona to establish a dynamic indigenous church, relevant to the culture, including contemporary themes for Native American youth.

Navajo Ministries
Since 1953, we have helped to meet the physical, emotional, educational and spiritual needs of families and children, primarily the Navajo, in the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Colorado. We have need for short term volunteers at times, and we conduct a one week Navajoland Tour each fall.

Navajo Work Camp Mission Program
This vital program of fellowship, faith, hope and love through hard work, provides individuals of the Christian faith and those of the Navajo culture with a shared spiritual experience with God, our creator. Affiliated with Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

New Gatherings
New Gatherings serves native communities in both reservations and urban settings through regular gatherings with food, prayer, music, sharing, stories and service to one another and the community. We hope to birth 1000 new gatherings on reservations, reserves, rancherias, villages, bands and cities. Multi-denominational.

North America Indian Ministries  (NAIM) 
Minister to Indian people where they live... along the river beds or railroads... in mountain crevasse or coastal village... often in more primitive conditions that you've experienced before (Canada, northern USA states). Many Christian colleges offer credits for the Summer Ministry Institute program. 

Northern Arizona Food Bank  (NAFB)
Our mission is to distribute food to thousands of Arizona's most impoverished including the Navajo and Hopi Reservations. In conjunction with social service agencies, churches, civic and hunger relief organizations, NAFB is determined to wipe out malnutrition and hunger. We need volunteers to help us with this task.

Northern Canadian Evangelical Ministry  (NCEM)
Large well-established agency has several forms of ministry throughout Canada, including a 6-week summer program of cross-cultural exposure and ministry in First Nations communities. Also, career opportunities in media and personal evangelism. 

Northern Connections Fellowship
Sharing stories of faith through cultural expressions. Based in Manitoba, Canada, with ministry and workshops in many nations. Come help us: English OK, Cree would be wonderful!

Northern Youth Programs
Work with Native youth and parents, churches and schools in evangelizing, discipling and training in communities in northwestern Ontario and Manitoba. A Mennonite mission.

Overcomers Ministry
Our mission includes evangelism, Bible and discipleship training, reconciliation and restoration of Native Peoples of America and Canada. We operate a residence for native Christians who are in recovery from alcohol abuse and those in the process of stabilizing their lives. Volunteers welcomed to inquire. Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

RAIN Ministries
Northern Arizona ministry (Hopi Indian Reservation)

Regeneration Reservation
Ministries amongst the Apaches on the San Carlos and White Mountain Apache Reservations. We are working to establish Native leadership for the indigenous church, focused on evangelism and discipleship.

Rehoboth Christian School
Now a K-12 day school, we were founded in 1903 by the Christian Reformed Church as a boarding school for Native American students and a ministry to the Native American peoples of the Four Corners region. Volunteers can help with tutoring and food service. We also need maintenance help.

Rez Refuge Ministries
A ministry dedicated to aiding Native Americans on the Navajo Indian Reservation. We share the gospel of Christ, provide tuition and rehab assistance, and crisis management solutions. We also provide community service projects. We welcome inquiries from volunteers with a willingness and ability to help others.

The Rez Connection
Operates an indoor and outdoor Sunday School program that ministers to hundreds of Native American children in South Dakota. 

Sacred Hoop Ministries
We're about forgiveness, reconciliation, repentance, and healing with a vision of Unity in the Body of Christ. We teach how to better witness to Native Americans by understanding culture, protocol and more, to win their hearts to Jesus. Spirit filled, mature Christians filled with love and a calling to these people can help us.

K-12 school in New Mexico for Navajo children welcomes volunteers, especially teachers. Teachers with a variety of skills, including special ed teachers, often needed.

The Ladder Ministries
A non-denominational ministry called to reach college-aged Native Americans. 

Two Rivers Native American Training Center
We provide specialized leadership training for Native Americans and others called to serve in leadership and ministry positions within the Native American community. Our students put into practice what they learn in the classroom by participating in outreach trips to reservations throughout the U.S. and Canada.

UIM International
An independent faith mission planting churches in Canada, United States and Mexico among Native and Hispanic people groups. Short term and career opportunities. Youth camps. 

Warriors for Christ
Discipleship ministry for American Indians / Native Americans providing training and equipping in Biblical truths so they can reach their nations and tribes for Christ.

Wesleyan Native American Ministries
WNAM operates the Lakota Christian School in Rapid City, SD., and several churches, and seeks to partner with others in bringing the healing power of the gospel to Native Americans. The Vacation With A Purpose program, the Student Sponsorship Program, and prayer and financial support are ways to help.

Western Indian Ministries
A non-denominational, non-charismatic evangelical mission to the Navajo and Hopi tribes in Arizona and New Mexico through Christian radio stations, Hilltop Christian School and Preschool, and church development. Short-term summer trips available. 

Whitewater Gospel Mission  (Near Gallup, New Mexico)
Conducts short term "In Country - Out of culture" mission trips throughout the year for groups from Churches and Christian Schools, for work such as painting, construction, and DVBS.
