Noah's Ark Children's Ministry Uganda
A generation of children have been traumatised and robbed of their innocence by brutal conflict in northern Uganda.

Notre Maison (Port-A-Prince, Haiti)
Spend a week in the poorest country in the western hemisphere working with special needs children showing them

Robin's Nest Children's Home (John's Hall, Jamaica)
Founded in 1998 by Michelle Robinette, following a missionary trip to Jamaica and a

The only Catholic orphanage in Siberia, with 40 boys and girls ages 3-16, six nuns and 28 employees
(who speak Russian, English and Polish). Volunteers (both high school students and adults) from USA, Germany and other countries come
every year. We welcome those who can: teach English, German or French; drama skills; computers; sports. etc.
Sangita Children's Home (Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India)
We care for orphaned, destitute, or abandoned children from tormented, traumatic backgrounds:
victims of devastating social ills through no fault of theirs. They arrive very undernourished,
usually sick. It takes around 3 months to bring them back to a certain amount of health. Volunteers

Children with developmental disabilities and neurological special needs are the most likely to be abandoned

We care for formerly abused girls who range in age from 7 months to 14 years and have all been sent
to the us through the court system. Our goal is to be able to house 200 children.

Shallom House (Goa, India)
Care for orphans and destitute children left on the streets of Goa with first
class education, medication and Christian Bible teachings. Volunteers are
welcome and should come prepared to live with Indian mentality and teach

Shalom Children's Home Hogar Infantil Shalom (El Salvador)
We serve 70 boys and girls, babies through high school. We're located half way to the airport, away
from the Capital city of San Salvador. Volunteers (single, married, family) who can teach English, care

Our aim is to bring up abandoned and orphaned children in Godliness and make them good Christians.

Shane Perry Smith Christian Foundation (Zambia)
We plan to build orphanages in all NINE provinces of Zambia, each facility holding up to 500 children.
We will employ widow's to look after our children, in these facilities. We will need Christian volunteers who will
love to experience working in an orphanage in Africa.
Shepherd's Field Children's Village (near Beijing, China)
We de-emphasize the institutional feel often associated with traditional orphanages. Every child lives in a freestanding home
with their own yard to play in, and a ratio of one nanny to two or three children. The children form attachments and
receive the care and attention that nurtures healthy physical and emotional well-being. Not necessarily Christian
Silent Angels Children's Home and Charitable Trust (Tamil Nadu, India)
We care for tiny tots and bring them up in nearby schools for their
physical and mental education. Currently a non-residential project, since we lack a

Sinakekele Children (Oakford, Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa)
We minister to abandoned babies and AIDS orphans. We have opportunities for volunteers and
need the following skills: care of abandoned babies; long term missionaries to head home school
and preschool using ACE Curriculum and to assist with the launch of a sports programme for the local rural community.
SMS Foundation: House of Salvation (Sialkot, Pakistan)
Care and love provided to children with no one else to care for them. We provide an environment in which the

Songs of Joy Home (San Jacinto, Chiquimula, Guatemala)
More than 300 children have been cared for since October 1990. Some are short-term, others indefinite, and our numbers

disabled children within the Community. "It has become a peaceful and comfortable apostolate that
includes volunteer accommodations, a retreat house, chapel, and three cottages designed to house up
to eight children each."
Soul Winners India (Orissa, India)
We have presently 25 destitute children in this orphanage, and provide them the needed love, care,

St. Anthony's Children Home (A.P. India)
We take care of orphan, semi-orphans and destitute boys and girls of age group 8 to
14 and educate them. We can use teachers and other helpers.
St. Bartholomew's Orphanage (Kajo Keji, Southern Sudan)
We're 12 miles north of the Sudanese/Uganda border. Hundreds of Sudan's
orphan children in this area have no general care and others have been attached to foster parents, but the care
they are receiving is horrible. We really need lots of help in building, administration,

Opened in January, 2001, in response to increasing numbers of children orphaned

We serve 70 children providing them food, shelter, education, medical aid and clothing, nurturing
them in the fear of the Lord. We need volunteers who can provide loving care, sew clothing, provide medical

Streets of Hope (Nakuru, Kenya)
Started as a simple soup kitchen to feed some street boys, we now have modern facilities housing school and
dormitory, where almost 100 boys formerly from the slums and streets are being cared for.

The children range from newborns through eighteen years of age. Some are placed here by the
government, and some have been dropped off at the doorstep. Many children have been here all of their
life. We can accept only one or two volunteers each year, but donations are very much appreciated.
Sweet Orphans Cameroon (Cameroon)
Our work includes counseling of birth parents, screening of applicants for adoption,
adoption placements, family adoptions and post adoption after-care. We also offer extensive services
in counseling and legal social work. Volunteers from all over the world are welcome to join and

Tabitha Ministries Hope Centre (Pietermaritzburg, South Africa)
We care for children from the poor village of Sweetwaters, many of whom
are orphans or their parents cannot care for them. Some are HIV positive.
Volunteers are welcome and can help at the centre to pack food for the AIDS patients in the community,

We are building an orphanage ("Casa De Los Gemas") 10 miles from the US border that will be home

We work to assist and educate children who have lost support of their family and home. Many

We're here to rescue homeless, abandoned, orphaned, children at risk. They are the unwanted and unloved

Every week hundreds of babies are abandoned in South Africa. Shortly after birth,

A Christian family operates an orphanage with up to thirty poor, abandoned and orphaned children. Also projects for impoverished school children,

Tropical Adventures (Kenya)
We place volunteers in needy orphanages where they help with work (minimum of 2 weeks up to a year)
ranging from teaching children, cleaning, helping with infants, etc.

Tumaini Miles of Smiles Centre (Western Province, Kakamega District, Kakoi village, Western Kenya)
TMSC provides spiritual development, basic education, material needs, primary health
care, and moral guidance for about 150 children. We also provide shelter for girls as necessary.

Located some 90 miles north west of Kingston, Murray Mount represents Mustard Seed's first home for
abandoned handicapped children outside Kingston and St. Catherine.
Word Made Flesh (Bolivia, Brazil, India, Nepal, Peru, Romania, and Thailand)
We are called by Jesus Christ to birth communities which practice the presence and proclamation
of the Kingdom of God among the poorest of the poor. 2 to 5 week Discovery Teams are heavily
exposure-based and discipleship oriented, intended to open the eyes and
ears of Western Christians to the suffering of the poor. 4-month Servant Teams are opportunities for
young men and women to learn about the values of the Kingdom of God through community living,
discipleship, internship, research, and ministry.
World Harvest Ministries (India)
Orphanage and Old Age Home in the village of Kakinada cares for over 120 children. School lessons in English and
native language. Affiliated hospital and clinic mean that doctors, nurses, and social workers are amongst those needed to help, even short term.
World Orphans
World Orphans rescues orphaned and abandoned children by funding the
shelter required for local churches to meet the spiritual, physical,

XuZhou Home of Hope (Gongyi, Henan, China, PRC)
One of a very few foreign-run orphanages in China, we have been given the opportunity to love and
care for the homeless children of GongYi. The little ones from all kinds of backgrounds and have
experienced terrible tragedies and hardships in their short lives. Without our intervention they have
little hope of a future. Their choices are very limited if they even make it to adulthood at all.
