Nepalese Youth Opportunity Foundation NYOF (Kathmandu, Nepal)
Safety, security, education, nutrition, are provided without regard to race, religion, sex, etc. The children were street kids, orphaned or abandoned, begging at temples and sleeping alone in doorways or under bridges, rain or shine. Since 1993 our home has been a haven for some of Jamaica's most vulnerable children (birth to 5 years old), currently numbering about 20. We would love to have volunteers help us, although we can only provide space for one or two at a time.

Noah's Ark Children's Ministry Uganda
A generation of children have been traumatised and robbed of their innocence by brutal conflict in northern Uganda. Tens of thousands of them are unable to sleep in their homes for fear of night-time attacks by the 'Lord's Resistance Army', a rebel group at war with the Ugandan Government. Founded in 1999, we provide safety, food, and more.

Notre Maison (Port-A-Prince, Haiti)
Spend a week in the poorest country in the western hemisphere working with special needs children showing them God's Love. We are one of only six facilities for special needs children in the area. Oceans of Mercy Children's Village (Port Elizabeth, South Africa)
Oceans of Mercy provides a loving home to abandoned and orphaned children in South Africa. Volunteers are welcome on short or long term self-funded mission trips. Medical, educational, and agricultural skills are especially welcome. A great heart is the number one prerequisite.

Olof Palme Orphans Education Centre (Daresalaam, Tanzania)
We provide secondary and vocational education to orphan girls to enable them to subsist and support their younger sisters and brothers. Established by Church members. Ongoro Children's Home (Kenya, Africa)
All of the children are AIDS orphans. Both of their parents have died from AIDS and we have assumed the responsibility of raising them. On the outside, it looks very much like other villages in the area but inside is a loving home where the children are well cared for and educated.

Along the Bay of Bengal is a vast delta largely occupied by very poor farmers. Children rarely are educated, medical needs abound, water supplies are contaminated. A local pastor has taken it upon himself to try and change the situation. We provide a loving discrimination-free home, the first in Bolivia specifically designed to meet the needs of children (0-5) with compromised immune systems, including HIV/AIDS. Philip Hayden Foundation (China)
Langfang and Shepherd's Field Children's Villages are designed to model a normal family environment, not the institutional feel often associated with orphanages. We care for children who live in Tijuana's red light district (Zona Norte). The parents are either prostitutes, drug addicts, or pushers. The only Catholic orphanage in Siberia, with 40 boys and girls ages 3-16, six nuns and 28 employees (who speak Russian, English and Polish). Volunteers (both high school students and adults) from USA, Germany and other countries come every year. We welcome those who can: teach English, German or French; drama skills; computers; sports. etc.

Sangita Children's Home (Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India)
We care for orphaned, destitute, or abandoned children from tormented, traumatic backgrounds: victims of devastating social ills through no fault of theirs. They arrive very undernourished, usually sick. It takes around 3 months to bring them back to a certain amount of health.
